|
|
Hi, I've just recently got SynthEyes and have been playing around with the object tracking. I started by tracking a simple object, and in SynthEyes the tracking was great and everything lined up perfectly. I then exported the tracking to a Blender Python Script and opened it up in Blender (2.49). When I run the script I get a Python script error and it highlights | Code: | | Object01.makeParent([ob]) | a few lines up from the end of the file. The console says | Code: | File "tracking.py", line 1392, in <module>
NameError: name 'Object01' is not defined |
Any help on what is causing this and how I can fix it will be greatly appreciated!
PS. Despite there being a Python script error the tracking points are still created in Blender (as empties) but the camera is in the wrong place. I've tried positioning the camera manually, but no matter where I put it the depth is incorrect and the points seem to be moving too much. |

| Sounds to me like you don't have an 'Object01' for it to use. |

| Any idea which object is meant to be 'Object01'? |

No idea. Try adding an empty and naming it Object01.
I've never done an object track in blender. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. |

I actually remember this problem with Blender export, but that was a long time ago.
It sounds like you're using an old version of the blender export script. A newer one was released in 2007. You can find it in your customer care messages.

I'm pretty sure I've got the latest Blender Export script, as I only got Syntheyes a month ago. I've tried the script on the Customer Care Messages page anyway, but the same thing still happens. |

| Sorry I didn't see you were talking about object tracking. I get the same error when trying to import. |

I've tried to fix the problems with the script, but I'm no expert. You can download it from here:

Maybe this can help you until Russ releases an official script update.
